GOLDCREST HOUSE CATCH THE RUNNING BUG FOR CHARITY

Catching the running bug are Pam and Chris, who have taken their love of participating in the Goole 5k Parkrun one step further by signing up for the British Heart Foundation’s ‘A Marathon in May’ fundraising initiative.

Gradually building up their mileage from three miles to 26.2, Pam and Chris took on the challenge to raise funds for life saving research, at their own pace, in their own way, raising a grand total of £176.43 from generous sponsors.

Mary Casson, support worker at Goldcrest House says: “Pam and Chris have really embraced this initiative. From taking part in Saturday’s Parkrun, at West Park in Goole, Their enthusiasm for fitness and taking on challenges has really captured their imagination, so when I saw this initiative from the British Heart Foundation I thought, I know two people who will like this!”
